(SQAUK) — In an unprecedented meteorological event, five powerful tornadoes simultaneously struck several Chinese cities, causing widespread devastation. The cities of Guangzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, Nanjing, and Chongqing were hit hardest, with significant damage to infrastructure and a rising death toll.

Guangzhou reported five fatalities and 33 injuries when a level-three tornado wreaked havoc. The tornadoes came amid severe storms and record-breaking floods, worsening the destruction and displacing thousands of residents.
