(SQAUK) — Senator Josh Hawley has formally expressed his urgent concerns to Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas regarding significant security failures at the rally held for former President Donald Trump on July 13, 2024. In a letter addressed to Secretary Mayorkas, Senator Hawley cited information provided by whistleblowers who have direct knowledge of the event’s security protocols and their execution, underlining the pressing need for immediate attention.
Based on the whistleblowers’ accounts, the rally’s security measures were inadequate and left several vulnerabilities, raising serious concerns about the safety of high-profile individuals. For instance, the rare use of detection canines, crucial for monitoring entry points and identifying potential threats, allowed unauthorized individuals to access backstage areas, posing a significant risk. Furthermore, the under-deployment of department personnel, who could have effectively monitored the security buffer around the podium, was not positioned at critical points around the event’s perimeter, potentially exposing the event to security threats and or possibly letting nefarious sources from within the deep state FBI/CIA-complex operate with impunity in an around the venue grounds.
Whistleblowers have alleged that most of the officials present were not from the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) but from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI). This deployment is particularly concerning because HSI agents must become more familiar with the standard protocols used at high-profile events.
Senator Hawley, a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee member, pointed out the department’s lack of transparency and cooperation in addressing these security lapses. He stressed the critical importance of conducting a thorough investigation into the department’s role in these security failures and the need for immediate answers to several vital questions about staffing and protocol adherence at the event, underlining the necessity for transparency in such matters.
The letter includes specific inquiries about the decision-making process for staffing the event, the percentage of DHS agents from HSI compared to those from USSS, and the training of HSI agents in handling such events. Additionally, Senator Hawley sought clarity on the presence and use of detection canines and magnetometers, the stationing of agents around the podium, the adherence to standard protocols for issuing designated pins to vetted personnel, and the duration and thoroughness of the agents’ site survey before the event.

Senator Hawley has requested a detailed response to these questions within seven days from the date of his letter. He reiterated his commitment to ensuring accountability and transparency within the Department of Homeland Security and emphasized the situation’s urgency and the need for a prompt and thorough investigation.
The letter was also copied to the Honorable Kimberly A. Cheatle, Director of the U.S. Secret Service, indicating the gravity of the concerns raised and the urgent need for a comprehensive review of the security protocols for high-profile events to prevent similar incidents in the future.
This development comes amid heightened scrutiny of the DHS’s capabilities and procedures, especially in safeguarding public figures and managing large-scale events. Answering Senator Hawley’s questions will be crucial in addressing the identified security gaps and restoring public confidence in the department’s ability to protect national leaders and ensure public safety.
Although the media is downplaying everything by making the Secret Service look incapable, all of this wreaks of CIA involvement. The bumbles and bobbles were likely scripted so that the event orchestrators could maintain Secret Service and local law enforcement agents are to blame.
