(SQAUK) — During the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at the Butler Farm Show rally last Saturday, a Secret Service agent appears to have suffered a through-and-through gunshot wound or graze of some type. Although it is hard to say precisely, there is a penetration visible near the front right side of the agent’s jacket and visible blood.
The incident unfolded rapidly, causing panic and shock among the crowd as the agent bravely shielded Trump from the attack below the podium once Trump squatted down. After the shots subsided, an exit hole appeared to be visible in the agent’s unbuttoned and ruffled-up jacket, accompanied by a bloodstain. It seems the agent was struck from behind near his waist—possibly with a minimal wound.
Multiple witnesses reported hearing gunshots from different locations. The swift actions of the Secret Service prevented a potential tragedy, but the incident has sparked intense scrutiny over the security protocols surrounding high-profile political figures. The condition of the likely-wounded agent is unknown as the Secret Service has not mentioned the incident.
